Jaisalmer Arrival and Sightseeing Tour
Your arrival at Jaisalmer The Golden City will be greeted and escorted by our tour representative. After a swift check-in to the hotel you will be picked up from your hotel for the full day sightseeing tour of the city.
The escorting tour guide will take you to Sonar Fort, an iconic fort built using yellow sandstone. The dominance of yellow color makes it to be famously called Sonar (Gold) Kila. In the historic attractions of Jaisalmer, the tour is incomplete without the tour of famous haveli (mansions). The 5 storied Patwa Haveli and Nathmal Haveli is a classic example of the richness that makes Jaisalmer to be truly called as Golden City.
You will be dropped off at the lunch point (lunch is an exclusive part of the package) and afterwards you will proceed for yet another attraction in the day tour of the city. Gadisar Lake (boat ride optional and subject to availability) and Desert National Park. After the day tour, you will be dropped back to the heritage/boutique hotel for overnight stay.
Desert Camping Tour
After breakfast (inclusive part of the package) at the hotel, you will set out to explore the local market of Jaisalmer. The handicraft varieties of apparels, footwears, handbags and many other decorative items are famous for the colorful combination and intricate work of threads and hand made articles.
For lunch you will be guided/suggested according to the preference. Afterwards, proceed for the most interesting part of the tour. The visit of abandoned Kuldhara Village which is a ruined site of a village which was once inhabited by local village people and a class of affluent merchants. For the unknown and unclear reason behind its abandonment, it is also referred to as the Ghost Village of Jaisalmer.
The safari ride after the village tour will drop you off to the desert camping site. Your arrival here will be greeted in the traditional way and after a refreshing tea/snack break get ready to explore the dunes on the back of a camel. The camel ride in the sand dunes will be an hour’s activity wherein grabbing the view of the setting sun is considered the most beautiful thing to do in Jaisalmer.
After camel safari come back to the camping site where a bonfire lit night awaits your arrival to greet you in the melodious way of hospitality. The evening will start getting charming with the passage of time. Folk music and dance performances during gala dine & wine presentation kindle with the tunes of instruments.
Your overnight stay will be planned with the luxury swiss tents where you will spend a memorable and gorgeous night stay of your life under the shade of stars.
Indo-Pakistan Border and Longewala War Museum Visit
After a lip-smacking breakfast, you will be transported back to Jaisalmer. Before summing up this tour a yet another tour of Jaisalmer will be scheduled. The first stopover will be Tanot Mata Temple. This temple is famed and renowned not only among locals but also visited by army personnel irrespective of caste as this temple played a miraculous role during Indo-Pak war of 1965.
After the temple visit you will be guided and escorted towards the International Border Post of India -Pakistan managed and surveillanced by Border Security Forces India (BSF). Witnessing the 1000 km long border fencing becomes a very thrilling and surprising moment for everyone who watches it from the watchtower.
Longewala Museum tour is next in the tour schedule. In the company of the experienced tour manager you will be escorted to the museum site. This place is one that gives goosebumps when standstill tankers of Pakistan Army give testimony of this bravely fought war commemorating the triumph of India. Aircrafts, tanks, armory and many other important articles can be seen in the display with an audio visual gallery for understanding a detailed account behind its history.
Later in the day, after the visit you will be dropped off to the scheduled destination ending this tour with us.
