My wife and I went on a overnight tour with Read Desert Man Camel Safari Jaisalmer and it was a great experience.
We spoke directly with the owner on whatsapp (+91 96498 65500), who helped us organize the tour and choose the best option.
We started in the morning with a hotel pickup, went for the desert, had simple but very good lunch under the tree. Then we rested and headed to the camp site where we watched the sunset and had dinner.
After dinner and a couple of beers we went to bed, which was under the stars as we selected (ie no tents, just the bed on the dunes). We were unlucky because it started raining heavily around 11PM and lasted the whole night, but the company had a good plan B with a hut near the place where we were sleeping. They also had tents for that cases, which helped us spend a night without getting wet.
So unfortunately we could not sleep freely under the stars this time but we were very happy with the service provided by the company. Abeh, our guide, is a really nice individual and taught us nice things about the life in the desert. You should know, however, that the tour relies heavily on camel riding to transport in the desert. As I am not an animal riding person I asked to go walking instead and it was totally fine, with an amazing trek in the desert. I strongly recommend doing the tour with them!

An incredible experience from start to finish! We just got back today and from the very beginning before our excursion even started, they took such great care of us. They picked us up from the train station at 6am and let us sleep in their guest house til we left in the afternoon.
The trip was everything we hoped for with a beautiful camel ride during sunset and we got to sleep underneath the stars in the middle of the desert. It was truly something special. The bed was comfy too!
The staff were all so kind and very organized and prepared. They took great care of us and had everything ready for when we would need it. I’d like to give a big shout out though to Abed and Nepal the camel guides who ran the camp for us overnight in the desert. They were wonderful and Abed’s positivity was contagious. They taught us a lot about the camels!
I would recommend this trip and company to anyone coming to Jaisalmer. They’re a local company and they’re really doing it right!

It was a wonderful and unforgettable experience. All the staff (Jeetu, Nepal and the Camelguide) were incredibly friendly, helpful, funny and attentive and spoke very good English. As the only woman, I never had a bad feeling but felt comfortable from the first second. We had great conversations and I was allowed to set up my bed near the camel guide because I didn't want to sleep alone. The food was simple but very tasty, there were enough cold drinks for everyone and the blankets were so warm that no one felt cold. And the camels were treat good. I can only recommend the tour to everyone.

Camel safari and desert camping were an incredible experience thanks to sawaii, sourukh, abhey and the rest of the team.
We had one night glamping in Swiss tents followed by one night sleeping under the stars while travelling by 4x4 and camels. We were looked after at every point with bottled water, food, chai and guides who spoke perfect English.
Outside of the desert, sawaii also organised a sightseeing walking tour, a luxury hotel stay in the fort, bag storage, laundry, and our onward journeys. He was readily available on WhatsApp and happy to meet our requests, even having us picked up at 4am and being given a room for a few hours to freshen up.
Overall a great company for those who want a unique experience with comfort.

Booked from Kolkata back in June because they had the best reviews and also provided a small tour of Kuldhara which I was looking for. Had a wonderful experience with the safari, cultural program, people, staff, food arrangements and camping. The price was reasonable too for the experience, Jeetu and Abhay were really helpful, they went above and beyond to ensure that I’m not facing any problem since I was travelling solo. I recommend it 100% for your safari when you visit Rajasthan.

From start to finish the team were amazing even offering to collect us from the train station the night before our safari. The camel ride and camping under the stars was a great experience. We had an evening dinner and breakfast the next morning at the campsite which were both lovely. We would definitely recommend this safari!

The desert safari provided a highly satisfactory experience.
We were conveniently picked up from our hotel and transported to Kuldhara village. After an hour more of Jeep riding, a delightful camel ride took us to the camping site, where we watched the sunset over the dunes. The dinner was satisfactory, but the cherry on the cake was sleeping under the stars. The following morning, another camel ride and we were dropped back to the hotel. Overall had a great experience. I would recommend it to anyone seeking an authentic desert experience.

We did the 1-night tour from 2pm-11am, we were only 2 during the camel trip and overnight stay. Very nice route, guided by camel driver Nepal, through the desert from a village to the camp on a dune where we met our car driver Dapu. The drivers made a very nice snacks/dinner and breakfast and we had a drink on the dunes during sunset. Quiet, relaxed and comfortable night under the stars on top of the dunes, beautiful! Can advise to anyone to do this specific trip with Real Desert Man Safaris!

Unique experience with a reputable operator. Riding camels, dinner and breakfast in the desert and sleeping outside. Would highly recommend the option that includes sleeping outside in the desert, such a peaceful experience. The only thing I could possibly suggest is a bit more guidance after you book about what to bring for the overnight, what is the itinerary, whether to tip the guides, etc. I booked online and only got a brief automatic email confirming payment and the date. But there was no personalized follow up, no explanation about what to bring or how to prepare. And once the tour started there was no explanation about what we will be doing or where we would be going. We arrived at office and were basically just told to get in the Jeep. Also after dinner everything just sort of ended even though it was barely 7:00pm, so we just assumed it was bedtime and we went to bed. They do have a guesthouse you can store luggage and sit at after your tour ends. These are fairly minor things as the experience itself was quite a unique and interesting and the people were nice. Can recommend

We had a great time on the desert safari. The abandoned village was a bit busy because we arrived there after 3 coaches, but it was still fascinating. The tents at the camp are beautiful and comfortable. The bed was great. We really enjoyed the camel safari to the sand dunes. Abhji our guide was fun and knowledgeable and the camels seemed well looked- after and happy. The cultural show was great. We really enjoyed the music and dancing. Our only (small) criticism was that the lights were on in the camp all night, which made it harder to view the stars. We woke up at 5 am and the power was off and we got a chance to watch shooting stars and satellites. Overall it was a great experience!

This tour was the best experience! Well organised, friendly staff, good food and the tents in the desert are so comfortable but you also get the feeling of an adventure ;) We could leave our luggage in the main office in Jaisalmer before starting into the desert with a friendly driver. The camel ride was super cool and in the evening there was dance and music. Next day after a nice indian breakfast in the desert we drove back to Jaisalmer, where they organised an additional city tour for us.

We really enjoyed our safari with real man. We'd heard some negative things about some companies (particularly relating to solo female travellers) and were recommended real man by a friend. It was a fantastic, professional experience from start to finish. If you need anything or if anything is not right then just say and it will be sorted for you. The highlight was definitely making rotis and signing around the campfire. Thanks guys for a great night!

As two female backpackers, we were cautious about the safety of this, did some research via tripadvisor and were SO pleased with our choice. We took the Jeep our into the desert to two different pit stops. One was an abandoned village which was very cool and the other was an “oasis” which I could have done without. Not much to see. But then we met our camels about a half hour later and our guide Abhay was the sweetest nicest man. We chatted quite a bit and he made us both very comfortable. An hour and a half later we settled into camp but not before he took a thousand incredible sunset shots of us on/with our camels. We joined up with a few other small groups which was really nice and then he and 3 other men, Honey, Geetu and another nice young man made us a delicious platter of pakora and chips then a full veg thali. It was great watching them do this all over open fire. They set up our cots under the stars and we all had dinner and they sang us a desert welcome song after. We got tucked into our cots and watched the moon fall and the stars come alive throughout the night. I’d recommend bringing something to cover your head as that was the only cold part all night. When we woke, they beought chai to our cots while they made a nice breakfast for us and then we hopped back on our camels for the quick trip back to the jeep. It was amazing. All of the guides were so nice and thoughtful. Just an absolutely highlight to our trip around India.

Initially, I was hesitant to do this safari as I was not keen on spending the night in the desert on a cot. My friend ultimately convinced me to take part and I am so glad that i did as it turned out to be an amazing experience. The guides were so friendly and welcoming and I had such a great time watching them cook over a fire and sing their desert songs. Sleeping under the stars with camels roaming freely around us was incredible. I can’t say that I have had the greatest trust in most folks while traveling India, but I can safely say that I felt comfortable and safe with The Real Desert Man crew. If you are looking for a great time, I highly recommend this tour!

Myself and a friend came to India for two weeks and didn't find out about camel safaris in Jaisalmer until we arrived here. We booked through the Real Desert Man very last minute for a 2 night camel Safari. We got a reply right away from Sawai, who even offered to pick us up from the Bus stop for free. We had nothing but amazing customer service from the second we booked with them until we left Jaisalmer. On the Safari, we rode the camels to beautiful sand dunes and had dinner and chai with the setting sun. Sleeping under the stars was a once in a lifetime experience and I couldn't wait to sleep again in the desert the next night. The next morning we rode to a village and then had lunch under a large tree and waited out the heat of the day. Our guide Hani was a blast and we had a really fun time with him and his adopted stray dog Tony. That afternoon we rode to another sand dunes area and again had an amazing dinner and bonded with a few people from another group which we met there. If you're considering doing a camel Safari, I definitely recommend Real Desert Man and I also recommend the two night Desert Life trip. It's definitely been the highlight of our trip!

I booked last minutes with Whatsapp the overnight desert trip. Response was quick and the price reasonable comparing to the other operators I had contacted.
It includes transfer with visit to the ghost village, camel trip to the dunes from the camp, cultural event, buffet dinner and breakfast. The food was nice. The staff friendly and attentive. The tent were super clean, big and comfortable.
I was surprised by the night event: I have attended so called "cultural event" in other countries in the past and was never impressed. Usually a cheesy "made for tourist" show. It was not the case here: it is an authentic band and dancer that offers a traditional concert like it would taking place in a village. The camp customers were mostly Indians (Diwali holidays) and the numerous interactions the band had with the crowd demonstrated the show was genuine. I did enjoy it a lot and recommend the desert trip.
